"SolarLab is a program developed by the TRE FOUNDATION - a non-profit social enterprise, which cultivates the seeds of knowledge about climate change and sustainable development for the future generation."
During the PhD research about Food-Water-Energy security nexus with the focus on renewable energy policy as the key driving force in the University Technology Sydney, Mrs. Phuong Nguyen was approached with mass information and studies on environmental impact in vietnam since the country started the industrialization. Born and raised in Vietnam, she always struggled to find the sustainable economic development model without trading-off the environment.
With the desire to apply her research in real life, Mrs. Phuong Nguyen had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Mathias Kothe – Founder of Syntegra Solar, an expert in the field of PV solar from Germany with footprint across EU, ASEAN and UAE in a land-mark solar project. Having realized their similar goals and ideals, they later co-founded Tona Syntegra Solar in the beautiful country of Vietnam.
While the solar power industry was still emerging in Vietnam, Ms. Giang Nguyen joined Tona Syntegra Solar as Director of Business Development and Marketing. With many years of experience in the education in Australia, Ms. Giang returned to Vietnam with the desire to contribute to her homeland
While Ms. Phuong Nguyen and Ms. Giang Nguyen werr on a volunteer trip to Tay Ninh along with the "Dream Library" program at local primary schools, with solar - the two sisters looked forward to bringing the early education program on the application of renewable energy to environmental protection for the young generation of students
“The TRE Foundation (stand for The Renewable Energy Foundation) is officially registered as a non-profit social enterprise. TRE in Vietnamese also means bamboo tree, a symbol of community, enduring rise and be ready to face challenges.”
