As part of the Australia–Vietnam Alumni Business Forum 2025 (AVABF), Ms. Nguyễn Thị Ánh Phương – CEO of Tona Syntegra Solar, and the Founder of both TRE Foundation and the SolarLab initiative – participated as a featured speaker in the integrated-sector session and engaged in high-level networking activities throughout the forum.
At the event, Ms. Phương introduced the long-term vision and sustainable impact of SolarLab to a wide audience of business leaders, energy experts, educational organizations, and policymakers.
Starting from school classrooms, SolarLab is not merely a technical project that installs solar power systems—it is also an integrated educational program that helps students gain early exposure to renewable energy and climate change knowledge.
With seven schools implemented by 2025 and a target of installing 50+ solar systems per year from 2026 to 2035, SolarLab is contributing to the formation of a sustainable education network—where schools are not only learning about climate change, but also actively participating in solving it.
During her presentation, Ms. Phương also introduced TRE Foundation, a nonprofit organization that collaborates with SolarLab in designing STEM and Climate Tech training programs for children, helping them understand the role of science and technology in addressing the environmental crisis.
In side events such as company visits and business luncheons, Ms. Phương shared further about the overarching strategy of Tona Syntegra Solar—a pioneering enterprise in Vietnam’s solar energy sector. The company not only provides technical solutions, but also actively works with communities, local governments, and educational institutions to expand the application of clean energy in high-tech agriculture, sustainable urban development, and—most notably—environmental education.
Participating in AVABF 2025 was an opportunity for SolarLab and its partners to showcase practical, locally tailored solutions that are both scalable and applicable in regional and global contexts.
The presence of SolarLab, TRE Foundation, and Tona Syntegra Solar at AVABF 2025 marked a significant milestone in bringing clean energy education and climate technology closer to the Vietnamese education community. With strong commitment, clear strategy, and support from the Australia–Vietnam alumni network, the journey to spread clean energy from classrooms to society at large continues—with persistence, purpose, and innovation at its core.
